VISRAD supports reading in data from multi-column files. This approach can be used, for example, to populate two-column tables used to specify time-dependent quantities.
After selecting the ascii file from which data is imported, the contents of the file are displayed. Header records to be skipped can be specified by either a symbol (e.g., "#", "!", "$", or "%"), or by a fixed number of lines. Headers to be skipped are highlighted.
The user then specifies the columns that are to be loaded as "x" and "y" values.
